Common questions
Who can use your 24/7 after-hours line?
Our existing clients and new commercial and B2B clients: businesses, strata managers and bodies corporate, real estate agents and property managers, insurers, loss assessors and builders. Home jobs are booked Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
What counts as an electrical emergency?
Loss of power that isn't a street-wide outage, switchboard faults, safety switches that won't reset, sparks, smoke or burning smells, exposed or damaged wiring, and power loss to critical equipment such as lifts, gates, pumps or cool rooms.
Should we turn the power off?
If it's safe to do so, turn the power off at the main switch and keep everyone away from the affected area. Don't touch exposed wiring. If there's a fire or injury, call 000 first.
Are your emergency electricians licensed?
Yes. DCEA is a licensed WA electrical contractor (EC12549) and our electricians are licensed and insured.
Can you make safe after storm or fire damage for an insurance claim?
Yes. We do make-safe work and repairs, with the reports and photos your insurer or assessor will need.
I'm a homeowner. Can I call after hours?
Our after-hours line is reserved for commercial, strata, real estate and insurance clients. For home electrical work, call Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm or send a quote request online. If anyone is in danger, call 000.
