Joondalup Resort Chiller Replacement

At Joondalup Resort, we tackled the challenge of replacing an under eight-year-old York chiller that was plagued with recurring condenser leaks. With only two compressors, the old system regularly caused half the building’s cooling to drop out whenever a breakdown occurred.

We replaced the old plant with a robust, modular Haier system made up of five units, each with two compressors. This design keeps the resort operating smoothly even if a unit or compressor goes down, maintaining around 80 to 90% capacity, and it can run up to 120% capacity when required.

  • Remove and decommission the existing York chiller
  • Supply and install a five-unit modular Haier chiller system (two compressors per unit)
  • Configure redundancy to maintain cooling performance during faults
  • Commission inverter control for efficient part-load operation, scaling down to 1% capacity for minimal loads
  • Complete full changeover within one week to minimise disruption

Over the past 12 months, the system has run flawlessly. Power consumption is significantly reduced, delivering over 30% energy savings compared to the old unit, while ongoing maintenance is simpler and more cost-effective since any refrigeration mechanic can service it without a specialised chiller technician.

Hahn Electrical Contracting – New Workshop HVAC Installation

Hahn Electrical engaged us to design and install the complete air conditioning solution for their new workshop facility. The build required multiple VRV systems, fresh air provision, and a building management system that could tie everything together for reliable, efficient day to day control.

  • HVAC design and system selection for a new workshop facility
  • Supply and installation of five Daikin VRV systems
  • Installation of 12 cassette indoor units
  • Design and installation of a fresh air system to support indoor air quality
  • Installation of rigid ductwork and associated fittings and supports
  • Fully integrated BMS for centralised climate control and monitoring
  • Commissioning, testing, and handover documentation

Hahn Electrical were pleased with the way the project was managed through shifting site conditions and delays. The overall approach, communication, and final finish made the handover straightforward, and the team valued having a system that feels consistent, controllable, and built for daily workshop use.
